Mailing Policy
MAILING COST
All costs are included in the Safe Roads Letter Service Package with the exception of sales tax which will be determined at final checkout.
WHEN ARE LETTERS MAILED
The first letter will be mailed within 24 hours of purchase. All letters will be tracked via USPS tracking.
WHEN IS THE SECOND LETTER MAILED
The second letter will be mailed within 24 hours of receipt of (i) the post card sent to your senior driver advising they are either still thinking about the decision or are not retiring their keys or (ii) receipt of an email from the customer requesting the second letter be sent. We will cc: you on the second letter if requested on the first letter and will send you an email with a pdf of the second letter sent.
CARRIER
All letters are mailed using the US Postal Service.
RESENDING LETTERS
Given the nature of mail, resending letters from time to time may be required. We rely on timely information provided by our customers to ensure the mailing address is correct and letters are deliverable to the intended recipient. We expect and count on our customers to (1) provide an accurate and deliverable address when checking out and (2) promptly update their mailing addresses with us when required.
When a letter is not delivered due to an incorrect mailing address provided, mistyped by the customer, or the customer has moved, we can resend one letter at no cost to you. Additional letters may be resent for $5/letter.
If your senior driver is moving, please notify the Safe Roads Letter Service at info@saferoadsletter.com with their updated address as early as possible. Failure to do so may result in delayed letters.
Notifying your post office will only change their mailing address with the office but will not forward the Safe Roads Letter Service letters.
If letters are missing due to not notifying us in a timely manner, we can resend one letter at no cost.
If the letter received is damaged, lost, or thrown away based on a customer’s error, we will require $5/letter to resend the letter
If the letter is incorrect, damaged, or undeliverable based on an internal Safe Roads Letter Service error, we will resend the letter(s) at no cost to you.
